The clinicians are
supported by a team of staff who undertake a variety of duties from
booking patients in through our computerised booking system to recalling
patients for certain procedures. All of the staff are computer literate
and have good interpersonal skills. They often work under very difficult
and hectic circumstances.
On reception we have Mrs
Irene Gazey and Mrs Catherine McMillan – both joined the Surgery in 2003
and are primarily involved in making appointments for patients, preparing
notes for Surgeries, taking messages for the doctors and arranging home
visits, and providing results to patients.
Supervising reception and
assisting with the administration of the practice we have Miss Sandra
Sutherland who joined the Practice in 2001. Sandra supervises in the
Reception area and also undertakes typing duties as well as a variety of
other administrative tasks.
Sue Robertson, known to
many of our patients since she has been with the Surgery for over 20
years, undertakes a variety of administrative duties and looks after our
finances.
Working on our
computerised records, we have Mrs Christine Mudd. Christine joined the
Surgery in 2001 and has shown a particular aptitude for computer work. As
we are now required to keep all patient records in a computerised format
this area of work has grown considerably and Christine now spends the vast
majority of her time in updating patient records.
The Practice and its staff
are managed by Mrs Charlotte Leggatt. Charlotte joined the Surgery in
2001 and is primarily responsible for the Surgery finances, the management
of its staff, the management of IT and the general day to day running of
the Surgery. Charlotte is also the complaints administrator and she
should be contacted if any patient has any concern or suggestions to make
about the Practice.
