Appointments

Consultation is by appointment only for GPs, Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistants. Therefore, please telephone beforehand to make an appointment.

Appointments are available each day with our GPs and nursing team and we provide early morning appointments on some days of the week and a late surgery on a Thursday evening.

The healthcare assistants provide appointments on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and they should be consulted for blood tests, blood pressure checks, height and weight measurements and ECGs.

The surgery has both male and female doctors.

In an emergency or if you have an urgent medical problem during our opening hours please call 01463 793400. Please make it clear to the receptionist that you require urgent treatment that cannot wait for a routine appointment.  The receptionist will take some details from you, offering an appointment or GP telephone advice where appropriate. Please note that we cannot guarantee which doctor you will see if you require urgent medical care.

Patients who request to be seen within 48 hours, with appropriate clinical need, will be directed to a member of our healthcare team. This may be by way of telephone or face-to-face appointment.

Chaperone

If you wish, you may ask your doctor for a chaperone to be present during your consultation or examination.  You can request this at the time of the booking or during your appointment.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.  The Practice has a "Did not attend (DNA)" policy and we will write to you if you have missed two appointments without notifying us of your need to cancel.  Please, therefore, cancel unwanted appointments.  If patients continue to miss booked appointments without cancellation they may be removed from the practice list.

If appointments are not cancelled with sufficient time to enable us to re-allocate them to another patient they will be considered a DNA- please cancel on the day appointments at least half an hour before the consultation time.
