Surgery Profile

Culloden Surgery was established as a single-handed Practice 20 years ago in a rapidly expanding housing area on the outskirts of Inverness. There are now two practices sharing a modern recently extended building. Both practices and some of the extended primary care team work from the building. 

Culloden Surgery has three partners who are supported by a team of staff, a practice nurse and other community nursing staff.   A further Doctor is employed by the Surgery. 

The Practice is a training practice, which means that sometimes we will have doctors working with us who will be future GPs.   These doctors are very well qualified and are often highly experienced.   In addition, from time to time, medical students are seconded to the Practice.  They usually sit in with the Doctors during consultations but the patient is not obliged to consent to a student being present. 

The Surgery runs clinics from Monday through to Friday and holds an emergency Surgery on a Saturday morning.   Specialist clinics are run by the Practice Nurse.
